READ BEFORE REGISTERING!
The winter event will be quite different from the past two urban races due to the season and venue:
- There will not be a biking leg, but we will have a short bike challenge and we will provide the fatbikes/snowbikes.
- Due to limited space, more time will be spent orienteering with a map – and knowing how to use a compass will be advantageous for some checkpoints
- Each team will need a compass and an emergency blanket ($2-3 Mylar type)
- The challenges will be more physical than mental – we want to keep you moving as much as possible
- We will do our best to minimize lines but with limited space, you may need to come back to challenges that have lines.
- Running conditions are at the mercy of the weather. We expect a mix of packed trail and having to break trail, especially teams in the lead.
Here’s what you need to register.
- Teammate
- Team name
- Credit card. Payment will be for the team.
- Race shirt size for you and your teammate (brand is only available in unisex sizing)
- Contact information, emergency contacts, and any pertinent medical information for you AND your teammate
- Confirmation from your teammate that you can sign the waiver for them (we recommend you paste the waiver language into an email for them to read)
Registration changes
Making changes to your registration is easy. Simply go to My Tickets in the EventBrite system and update the information. You may even transfer your entry to another person. Within two weeks of the event, we cannot change t-shirt sizes.
If you do not have someone to transfer your registration to, a partial refund is available through Michigan Adventure Racing LLC (not EventBrite) based on the following schedule:
30 days or more prior to the event = 75% refund
6-29 days = 50% refund
5 days – day of event = No refund
Age limit
Racers must be at least 14 years old (12 for the winter race) unless the parent discusses the possibility of an exception with race organizers. Racers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and have a parent or guardian sign the waiver/consent form provided during online registration.
